Small Group at Church
A women's only (large) small group at church studied from a book over 2022 and 2023. We met most Tuesdays and covered a woman in the Bible each time, focusing on her life and perspective, the lessons we can learn from her, and generally praying for and supporting each other. Sometimes, we would break the structure to account for holidays or informal meetings.
I love this study. :) Most women in the Bible are minor figures in their stories, so they were previously easy to overlook. The teacher is good at asking investigative and reflective questions about the figures, so it really brings the full story to life. Actually, I use her approach for LazyWiki when writing articles for each chapter of the Bible - try to re-envision the story from each perspective, no matter how minor or infrequent.
